Eton Mess

Meringue and cream, all lightness and fluff, topped with a juicy promise.

A void within a vacuum surrounded by a vast inanition.
nihil-ad-rem

Can be cobbled together in seconds.

• First take the meringue (white) break it in with cream (also white).
• Crush the strawberries until the pips squeak and the juices run like blood.
• Mash. Scrummy!
• Afterthought: sprinkle with spun sugar (for decoration).

No deep thought or application required.

NB nota bene: some of the ingredients demand prodigious wealth.
(Yep, they’ll cost you.)

Like all of them, best served chilled.
Dust conservatively with icing sugar (or cocaine).

A great final flourish after you’ve made a greased pig’s ear of the main!

(Snaffle in chambers between divs)
