The New Tentacular Team

Tentacular announces a great new editorial team.

Four new Assistant Editors have joined the Editor, Jonathan Catherall, to work on all aspects of Tentacular, from shaping content, to reading and deciding on submissions, and laying out work. We’ll be launching our call for submissions for Issue 9 very soon. The Assistant Editors are Becky Varley-Winter, Rushika Wick, Safiya Kamaria Kinshasa and Seth Crook.

Becky Varley-Winter

Becky’s first pamphlet-length poetry collection is Heroines: On the Blue Peninsula (V. Press); a collection of her short stories, BLOOM, is forthcoming with Broken Sleep in November 2021. She has also published a book on literary fragments, Reading Fragments and Fragmentation in Modernist Literature (Sussex Academic Press) and is working on further creative and research projects. She teaches, writes and edits.

Rushika Wick

Rushika is a London poet with an interest in how the body is impacted by social contracts. She is also a doctor and children’s rights advocate. Her debut collection Afterlife As Trash was published by Verve in 2021 and she has work recently in Bathmagg, Magma and Poetry Review. She’s performed with Cold Lips Magazine, Rough Night Press and Skylark and is interested in visual poetry and Poem Brut. She is assistant editor for Sunseekers Poetry project on Instagram.

Safiya Kamaria Kinsha

Safiya is a British born Barbadian raised interdisciplinary neurodiverse poet. Safiya chiefly uses movement to compose her poetry. Her first collection is forthcoming with Out-Spoken Press. She is an Obsidian Foundation fellow and Apples & Snakes l Jerwood Arts Poetry in Performance recipient.

Seth Crook

Seth Crook lives on Mull, is transitioning into a seal, snorkels everyday. He has taught philosophy at various universities. His poems have most recently appeared in such places as The Rialto, Poetry Scotland, Pennine Platform, and The SHOp: An Anthology (Liffey Press). He has a pamphlet of concrete poems Chalked on the Path (Dreich Press).
