a little green splash
soothes

A red wave gallops in bearing
blue testerone
on its crest

Little else there or needed
the daffodil uterus
envelops

absorbs the shock
the climax



Anne Macaulay is a London Scot who came late to poetry when she retired from education. Published in several anthologies, and one of 6 featured poets in the Arachne Press, Vindication anthology, she performs regularly in London and on Zoom.
